A community partnership for San Rafael.
The San Rafael Partnership for Public Spaces (SRPPS) was created by local residents who believe in the potential of San Rafael. SRPPS brings together community support and private funding to create more welcoming public spaces throughout San Rafael.
We are an independent, community-led initiative that works collaboratively with the City of San Rafael and local organizations to improve the places we all share.
Inviting public spaces strengthen communities and foster connection and civic pride. There is already much important work underway. SRPPS helps accelerate and expand good ideas by bringing together community energy, private funding, design resources, and partnerships.

To inspire a thriving, beautiful, and more connected San Rafael through visible, meaningful improvements that strengthen our shared sense of community and civic pride.
Why Now?
San Rafael is growing and changing, and we believe this is an important moment to invest in the places that bring our community together- including our downtown streets, plazas, parks, walkways, and other public spaces. Our City is one of only 24 designated California Cultural Arts Districts, with exciting new businesses, museums, and public art installations that have strong community backing. It is a moment of real momentum for San Rafael, and SRPPS is positioned to extend that visible progress into lasting, people-centered public spaces.

Bring together private philanthropy, community support, and public partnerships to help fund and accelerate projects that benefit San Rafael.

For issues such as graffiti, potholes, damaged sidewalks, streetlights, illegal dumping, or other maintenance concerns, the City of San Rafael uses SeeClickFix, a work-order request system that allows residents to report issues directly to the appropriate City department.
